Load Gadi is an Android app that connects sellers of balu (sand), gitti (stone chips) and bricks with buyers in Bihar. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Information we collect
From sellers (people who post loads):
- Name and mobile number, used to log in with a one-time password (OTP) and shown to buyers so they can call or WhatsApp you.
- Load details: material, quantity, unit (CFT, ton or pieces), rate, delivery zone, vehicle type and number, and mining e-challan number for balu and gitti.
- Precise location of the vehicle, taken when a load is posted and updated while the load is marked available, so buyers can see where the gadi is. While sharing is on, the phone shows a "Load Gadi is sharing your location" notification. Sharing stops when you mark the load sold or turn live sharing off.
From buyers: buyers do not need an account. The app uses the buyer's location on the phone only to show nearby loads and distances. Buyer location is not sent to or stored on our servers.
How we use it
- To let sellers log in and post loads.
- To show available loads, rates, vehicle positions and seller contact details to buyers.
- To keep the platform lawful, for example by requiring an e-challan number for mined material.
We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not use your information for advertising.
Who can see it
- A seller's name, mobile number, load details and vehicle location are visible to anyone using the app while the load is available. This is how buyers reach sellers.
- Data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) in Google's Mumbai, India region. Google processes it on our behalf. OTP messages are sent through Firebase.
- We may share information if required by law or by a government authority.
Security and retention
Data is encrypted in transit. Database rules allow sellers to change only their own loads. Loads not updated for 6 hours are hidden from buyers. Load records and seller profiles are kept while your account is active, and deleted when you ask us to delete your account.
Your choices and account deletion
- You can mark any load sold or turn off live location sharing at any time in the app.
- You can deny location permission. Sellers then cannot share a live vehicle position; buyers will see loads sorted from Patna instead of from their own position.
- To delete your seller account and all your loads, email us from your phone or write to us with your registered mobile number. We delete the data within 30 days.
Children
Load Gadi is a business app for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
